Happy Halloween from the Village
Earlier this month, Captain Candy made his debut as the newest trick-or-treater in the Village.
The Captain is a little pirate mouse who takes special care to hide and protect his Halloween candy loot!
It seems a lot of people can relate to his candy hoarding as he has become a very popular part of the Halloween collection quite quickly!
Everyone, big and small, in the Village hopes you take some time this Halloween to stop and smell...the candy!
That's A Winner!
Earlier in the baseball season, I introduced you to Stanley, our little baseball player whose namesake is St. Louis Cardinal's baseball legend, Stan "The Man" Musial.
Call it a coincidence perhaps, but the same year a baseball player joins the Village, the St. Louis Cardinals head to the World Series! Being from St. Louis, of course, I'm a teeny bit biased, but the Red Sox are great too!
The mice convinced me that we just had to commemorate the team's trip to the big game with a register-to-win repaint.
This little mouse is named Louie. That name is not only a play on the city, but a tribute to Lou Brock, another Cardinal's Hall of Famer. (For baseball fans, I should note Louie is wearing a mix of the home and away uniform styles, minus the logo.)
This little athlete will appear on our Facebook page on Wednesday, October 23, the day of the first game of the series. To enter, just answer an easily searchable question about the third Cardinal this little guy is a tribute to... At 6:30 pm CST on Saturday, when the Cardinals return home, we'll randomly draw.
Christmas Is Coming...
